Advanced Grant Writing Workshop

Hosted by The Junior League of Gaston County, Inc. and lead by Peter Szanton, Director of Grants & Special Projects at Gaston College.
DATE: MONDAY, OCTOBER 15
COST: $10 FOR NON-MEMBERS, FREE TO JL MEMBERS
LOCATION: 2020 Remount Rd, Gastonia, NC - Training Room
(PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED, Cash at door is acceptable, but please call to reserve your seat by leaving your name and number at our office.
Mr. Szanton will cover the more advanced techniques and best practices for grant writing! A must attend for any person or organization that would like to improve their grant writing returns to fund their community endeavors!
Please bring to this workshop:
1) a copy of a grant proposal they are working on for submission (or one they submitted but was not funded and they hope to resubmit) or 2) detailed information on the program/project they would like to obtain a grant for (what form this information will take may vary based on the project but this could include things like a mission statement, numbers served or to be served, evidence of need for the project, list of services offered, project partners, evaluation plans, etc.), and 3) a copy of the Request for Proposals (RFP) and/or grant guidelines for one or more grants they would like to target with their project.
Light refreshments will be available.

The Junior League of Gaston County, or JLGC, is a diverse group of dedicated women working to make our community a better place. The JLGC is a nonprofit organization which was formed in 1959. What We Do:
- Research community needs that relate to our focus of improving the lives of women and children.
- Provide trained volunteers and financial support to these community needs.
- Educate and train members for effective community leadership.
How We Help:
The Junior League of Gaston County provides volunteers and funding to area non-profit agencies for the benefit and enrichment of the Gaston County community and the development and education of our League volunteers.
